WHISPERS OF YESTERDAY

The film "Whispers of Yesterday" is the creation of Métis Matriarchs Clare McNab, Genevieve McNab, and Bryana Couture.

It was created during a 5-day crash course in all things filmmaking, Empowered Filmmaker. Over the short week, the trio received instruction and went on to write, storyboard, plan, film, record voiceover, edit and then premiere the video on the evening of the fifth day.

Each woman had an integral part in bringing this video to life - watch as they reflect on Indigenous identity, sacrifices of the past, and hope for the future.

A group of people are arranged in rows, sitting and standing together. A dog is on the floor at the front.
